User roles in Kontolink

In Kontolink there are 3 different user roles.

These can be used to provide different accesses of the needs of the individual user. The role is chosen by the person who invites the user. Read along this article to get all of the information about the different user roles.

The 3 user roles:

  • User
  • Kontosnap User
  • Employee



Standard Kontolink user.

The user gets access to everything on the individual Kontolink account, to which
they are invited.


Typically used if the user must be able to approve transactions in Kontolink.

Kontosnap User
Kontosnap user
Only gives access to Kontosnap,
The missing document list, Bank connection, Document sources and Kontobox.
Typically used for an user who doesn't have to approve transactions in Kontolink.



Gives access to Accountant/Bookkeeper functions and all companies in Kontohub.


Is only available on Administrator companies.

How to choose user roles to new users

Open the Kontolink menu, and go to “Users”. You are here able to invite new users to your account.  

Here you get the opportunity to choose which user role the new user should have access as.


As you invite a new user to Kontolink, you can choose to assign one or multiple tasks to the new user. Read more about assigning tasks here.

The user receive an invitation to Kontolink 

The invited user will receive an invitation email, so they can accept the invitation.

The content of the invitation email varies according to which user role has been chosen.
